【演講摘要 】
The current practices of online learning during this period of the Covid-19 disruptions have prompted us to reflect on the role and the practices of learning via technologies at a distance. Education systems may have embraced online learning before, but not to such an extent as at this time of disruption. Research in the learning sciences has informed us that the features of learning in a face-to-face situation such as in a classroom are different from that in an online mode. Blended learning incorporates face-to-face instruction with digital modalities by harnessing the power of technology and innovative tools to create a more efficient, engaging and learner-centered learning environment. Schools and universities do not need to ‘invent the wheel’ to design online or blended learning, instead they can build on prior successes. In this talk, we will discuss the new areas of practices which have been arisen, as well as new research opportunities which have become more prominent in the new education normal, through the analytical lens of the learning sciences.
