演講摘要|In his presentation, Dr. Singer and Dr. Wang will discuss the roots of American Higher Education and then proceed to address some of the fundamental challenges that American Higher Education currently faces. Some of these challenges have the very real possibility of being transformative in nature and forebode major changes in the current American Higher Education system. Whereas many in the United States and around the world believe that Higher Education in America has, and continues to enjoy, preeminent world status. However, maintaining that status is challenged internally by changing demographics, and socio-cultural and economic changes taking place in the United States.
This presentation will also review the evolution of learning, from classroom to E-, to mobile, and to the recently emerged Cloud learning and MOOCS, with a focus on the last two phrases. The presenters will also introduce SDSU’s exemplary practice in entrepreneurship education.
This presentation will open a window into American Higher Education and its challenges as well as American society in general. After their presentation, the presenters will welcome questions on any and all topics related to American Higher Education and America in general.
