It is the first research institute in Taiwan, and in Asia as a whole, that is dedicated to learning sciences and technologies, responding to international academic trends by focusing on the 21st century’s pivotal ability: learning. The Institute brings together the essential features of learning – cognitive and affective development, social and cultural context, and innovative learning technologies – developing interdisciplinary research in learning sciences and technologies and cultivating innovative learning skills for the 21st century.
